What is GreatOak?
GreatOak is a personal AI companion service with long-term memory. Each customer gets their own AI companion that runs on a dedicated private server, is available through Telegram, and remembers user-approved context across every conversation. GreatOak costs $49 per month with $20 in usage credits included.
How does GreatOak remember things?
GreatOak starts remembering from your first message. It stores context you approve across conversations — your preferences, your people, your projects — so it stops asking questions you have already answered. Your memory is viewable, editable, and exportable at any time.
How much does GreatOak cost?
GreatOak is $49 per month. That includes your own personal AI, private encrypted conversations, long-term memory, and $20 in usage credits — approximately 2,000 messages. You can top up credits from $5 to $500 anytime, and credits never expire while your account is active. Cancel anytime and take everything with you.
Is my data private?
Yes. GreatOak runs on a private server that belongs to you. There are no ads and no data sales. Your conversations are private and encrypted. You can see, edit, erase, or export everything your companion remembers. Account deletion triggers complete data removal within 30 days.
What can a GreatOak companion do?
Your GreatOak companion can hold conversations that build on everything it knows about you, handle follow-ups and reminders, do research, and give you honest advice informed by your full context. It works through Telegram — message it like you would message anyone. No app to learn and no manual needed.
What uses my credits?
Everything your companion does for you uses credits: conversations, voice notes, research, and the proactive work it does on its own — scheduled check-ins, reminders it delivers, and background tasks you have asked it to handle. Proactivity is part of the product, so proactive work is billed the same way as conversation. Voice and media use more credits than text. Your $20 in monthly included credits covers roughly 2,000 messages.
How is GreatOak different from ChatGPT?
